Saturday Morning Denver Ladies Ride

Hi All -- trying to motivate back to blogging by posting our saturday morning ladies group ride leaving Westside. Here is a map of the start of the ride. Once we get to Dinosaur Ridge the ride will either go up into the mountains or stay low weather dependent. So if you live along this first part of the route and don't want to head into town, just meet us along the route. We will leave Westside at 10:10am and figure 45 mins to get to Dinousaur Ridge...there's more climbing than you would think in these first 10 miles.

Too old for Vegas....

Last week we were in Vegas for Interbike. We did a ton of walking as there was so much fun stuff to see at the show. The top eleven things we saw at Interbike worth a damn...

11. Cav's Scott bike...its real pretty and teeny tiny!

10. Pashley Bikes -- beautiful cruisers handbuilt in England...cool t-shirts too!

9. Bont -- The rad'est cycling shoes ever!

8. Krieg -- The sweetest saddle bags ever!

7. Focus -- Beautiful bikes, pretty cross bike...be in touch with Brian 'Go Fast' Dallas for more about 'em.

6. Basil -- Euro styley bike baskets and bags...simply gorgeous

5. Xtreme Sports ID -- your critical info quickly accessible during an emergency.

4. The Luna podium boys at Cross Vegas! Which by the way is the most fun race to watch. Prime viewing is on the hill in the VIP area...thats right, we're VIP! And watching all the CO girls tear it up at Cross Vegas...1st - Katie Compton, 2nd - Katia (so she's from CA by way of Czech but heck she's got good friends in CO so we'll give her CO cred) 3rd - Georgia Gould then Alison 'Advanced Placement' Powers, Dombroski, and Seehafer - her second cross race ever! Colorado is the best.

3. 30 minutes of pool time with bff!

2. King George Hincapie raising the roof atop the Palms hotel way past midnight.

1. And most of all fun times catching up with me old teammates and mechanics

She Made It!

....up all the stairs at Red Rocks, sans pants. Apparently the pants prohibited efficient stair climbing. She was fast, the adults were exhausted when we got to the top. I forget how magical a place is the Red Rocks Amphitheater. While standing on the stage, you can't help but be reminded of the one of the most amazing and powerful performances ever to take place - right there on the same stage - U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday.

Cascade Classic

Where has the week gone? As with all stage races the week of racing just flies by in a blink of an eye. While the last day of the Cascade Classic (in Bend, Oregon) has sneaked upon me, it feels like Tuesday's first stage was weeks ago. Here we are, the last day of the stage race -- a 17 mile circuit up and down Awbrey Butte. Scenes from the week follow....

We take over garages with bikes a plenty! Our fearless mechanic takes care of all these bikes!

We take over kitchens....

We find great humor in some of the unique sights we see while on the road.

Huntress is happy to be in Bend....looking forward to her 4 hour mountain bike ride.

McGrath cherry picks the Raspberry Powerbar gel shots.
